About this collection

Forty eight undergraduates participated in the 1961 “West Indian Journey” tour around the Caribbean, commencng July 13, 1961.

Islands visited include Antigua, Barbados, Grenada, Montserrat, St. Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago. The students met with Ministers of Government and other leaders in the various islands such as, Dr. Eric Williams, Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Hon. James Lloyd, the Administrator of Grenada and Mr. Herman Collymore, Minister of Trade and Production, St Lucia. They also participated in social activities and visited many of the historic sites.
